So it’s Saturday morning and my alarm goes off. Something in my head is telling me to keep sleeping. I sit up, think about taking a shower and getting dressed, dreading the thought of bundling up to go outside and interact with people. Grrr. I turn off my alarm, flip over in my nice warm bed and decide, No, I really want to do this. It’s only one day a week for 18 weeks, not that big of a deal I get out of bed, and get ready for school.

I thought school was over?! I graduated a year and a half ago, but something is calling me back! Intermediate sewing classes! I told myself, You don’t have to take it. Just go to the first day, and see how you like it. Well, now I’m SUPER excited and can’t wait to get going! (Notice how many !!! I’ve used so far… not counting those).

I’ve always been kinda lazy when it comes to fitting patterns. I’ve never really had to. I kind of fit after the fact, trying on the garments as I go. This needs to be adjusted here or take this in a bit here and it’s always worked fine, but advanced fitting!!! Yay!

Granted, the projects aren’t the most exciting. A vest (I’m not exactly the vest type, but I’m thinking the short vest from Simplicity 3690 but it needs a welt pocket, so maybe she’ll help me add one in or something), a skirt (with a waistband! I guess its time to get in Vouge [giggle] and make a high waisted shirt using Vogue 8425 [get the giggle now?]), a plaid blouse with short sleeves (I know plaid is in and all… I’m thinking of Built by Wendy 4112) and a V neck knit top (I have a triangle body type, so I know V necks would look good, but I usually don’t rock the V neck..) maybe even underwear or a slip if there is time. I’m hoping for a slip she’ll let me make a fufu petticoat!

All and all, I’m super excited to learn to tricks and to socialize again. Maybe I’ll even get a degree or something… Either way, Super Excited!
